About PBLA Surveying Inc.
PBLA Surveying Inc. is a leading civil engineering and surveying firm with offices in Redlands, Pomona, and Santa Ana, CA. As our company grows, we are looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for our employees across our Southern California offices.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across multiple office locations. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, applying security updates, and addressing common IT challenges such as connectivity and printer setup. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage priorities effectively, and collaborate with remote IT leadership on larger initiatives. This position is based primarily in Redlands but requires regular travel to Pomona and Santa Ana, with a vehicle allowance provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site IT support to employees across multiple office locations.
- Install, configure, and update software, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Assist with password resets, user access management, and general IT troubleshooting.
- Perform routine security updates, antivirus management, and system maintenance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN configurations.
- Set up and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Maintain accurate records of IT support requests in the ticketing system and ensure timely resolution.
- Lead small IT projects such as office IT setup and system upgrades.
- Train employees on IT best practices and company software.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and assist in procurement decisions.
- Occasionally provide after-hours or emergency support when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- ITIL Foundations certification.
- Some experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Windows Server is preferred but not required.
- Experience in engineering, surveying, or construction firms is a plus.
