Job Summary
CRY-ROP is seeking a Part-Time/Non-Benefitted Construction & Facilities Maintenance teacher experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of Construction and Facility Maintenance. The qualified candidate should have experience in the building trades industry and be familiar with all facets of building. Training will include topics in the following areas: Construction math, vocabulary, blueprint reading, introduction to tools, equipment, materials, pre-employment skills, personal construction health & safety, physical agility strengthening, overview and heritage of the construction industry, regulatory constraints & standards, use of hand tools/power tools, site preparation, electrical basics, drywall installation, solar technology, asbestos, introduction to cutting tools and effective use of technology. The successful candidate will have not less than three (3) years’ experience in the field and/or education and experience combined that meets the criteria. We will assist with the credential process, cost of which is approx. $265.
