Salary: $21-$24 DOE
Job Summary
The Chamber Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Chamber of Commerce, serving as a point of contact for office staff, chamber members and the Redlands community daily on matters of the Chamber’s function. This role involves administrative support, event coordination, member engagement, and marketing efforts to promote the Chamber’s initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Open and close the office daily, including turning on and off the Chamber videos, setting up and turning off the Visit Redlands kiosk, and setting up and bringing in the Chamber A-frame.
- Manage daily office operations, including answering calls, responding to emails, maintaining records, and monitoring/updating website orders
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and reports for board & committee meetings, including calendar invitations.
- Update and maintain the membership database and ensure accuracy.
- Manage and maintain the office supplies by doing a weekly check and going to pick up necessary supplies.
- Run office errands, including but not limited to mailing items, depositing checks, and picking up office equipment.
- Marketing and Communication:
- Manage Chamber communications, including newsletters, press releases, and social media platforms.
- Update the Chamber’s website with current events, resources, and business news.
- Draft promotional materials for Chamber initiatives.
- Event Organization:
- Assist in the execution of Chamber events, including networking events, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and annual community events.
- Handle event logistics, including vendor coordination, ticket sales, check-in, and supply set up (e.g. banners and overlays, EZ-Ups, tables, chairs, etc.).
- Member Engagement:
- Serve as a resource for Chamber members, addressing inquiries, providing resources, and fostering professional and positive Chamber communications.
- Assist with new member onboarding, including scheduling their ribbon cutting, inviting them to networking events, and collecting their logos.
- Community Relations:
- Collect research, context, and draft ideas for public comments for local council and commission meetings, plus other presentations, including presentation materials.
- Occasionally act as a representative of the Chamber at various meetings or presentations to update on Chamber news.
