Behavior Analyst with Oparc (Summit Services)

Salary: $64,000-$75,000 Annually
Status: In-person
Function: Conducts behavior assessments and treatment plans, as well as supervise and provide training to Behavior Support Professionals on staff.
General Areas of Responsibility:
•Conduct functional behavioral assessments/analyses.
•Provide objective baseline and ongoing data to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions in use.
•Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures.
•Plan, implement, and monitor effective ABA principles and Behavior Safety Plans for individuals in our programs.
•Implement direct ABA therapy, activities, and interventions to the person supported in the day programming services.
•Provide participant supervision at the program site or in a community setting.
•Provide staff training on the Principles of ABA and Behavior Modification.
•Provide training, coaching, and support to staff.
•Provide a monthly review of data for each person supported and analyze the behavior programs, outcomes, and progress.
•Review incoming referrals from the Regional Center and provide Referral Packet Review to the Program Manager within 2-3 days.
•Develop an initial Behavior Safety plan for all new participants within 30 days from the start date and annually thereafter.
•Provide Behavioral Safety Plans (BSP) training for staff.
•Monitor behavioral documents completed by direct care staff to document the person supported programs, outcomes, and progress.
•Develops written reports for each person supported documenting behavioral recommendations, behavioral procedures, and protocols.
•Travel from assigned program sites to other Day Program sites to provide training, conduct assessments, attend meetings, etc.

Supervised By: Director of Day Programs
Education/Experience Requirements: Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, or related programs. Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs. Experience administering a variety of assessments, treatment planning, and interventions implementation or programming to address behavioral challenges. Experience in staff training and staff development for behavioral procedures and practices.
Other Requirements: Must have a clear driving record, valid CA driver’s license, and 5 years driving experience, safe reliable transportation, and proof of current vehicle insurance. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. by self; must be able to communicate within normal parameters; standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion required; bending and squatting may be necessary. Use chemicals in accordance with manufacturer’s labeled instructions.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with and direct personnel; organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively in public; Familiarity of the field of developmental disabilities with a minimum of 3 years or above using ABA skills and knowledge. Demonstrate ability to learn quickly; ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Performance Measures: Specific objectives consistent with the general duties outlines above that are developed on an annual basis.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, including a 1/2-hour unpaid uninterrupted lunch
